CHRONIC ASTHMA
“As a severe and chronic asthmatic I have had to take medications for years including prednisone which has numerous side effects. I had a friend suggest acupuncture. I was initially very skeptical but thought I'd give it a try. My skepticism quickly turned to amazement as Dr. Kim patiently listened to my medical history and addressed some of my issues. One common side effect from prednisone is increased eye pressure and if you get to 20 or higher you are at risk for glaucoma. My pressure gradually kept rising getting as high as 21. After just two treatments, my pressure went down to 13! My optometrist was amazed. I have also had severe muscle spasms in my back. Any time I've gone in for that reason I leave feeling soooo much better. My daughter ran cross country and track and got terribly painful shin splints. I brought her in and within a few treatments, she felt incredibly better and was able to get back to running! The office staff are incredibly kind, Dr. Kim in professional and truly cares about your well being, and the treatments, instead of painful (as I was initially worried about) are often times very relaxing with a warm room and peaceful music. I am beyond pleased that I gave acupuncture a try and would highly highly recommend Arlington Acupuncture.”

CHEST CONGESTION
"One can say that Essential Acupuncture is a excellent east Asian medicine clinic and very discerning in their field, and I'll get to that but first I want to address those who may have second thought about acupuncture to begin with.
I won't say there is no pain involved, I will say that as a westerner my misunderstanding is that pain is associated with needles. The needle insertion is not where pain comes in, you eventually will have a dull ache in the associated area of a needle insertion but that is part of the medication going to work. In this you need to have a licensed professional that is very sensitive to where you are at within that process and Essential Acupuncture is very much that place. Additionally they will let you know EXACTLY what is going on where and to the best of their knowledge, why.
I can tell you I had a chest congestion issue that lasted close to 9 months something similar to bronchitis I would say, and after 15 sessions with Essential Acupuncture, my musculature issues in my lower back and leg are mostly gone. It's frankly, shocking how well I respond to their treatment."
